What are the fermentation steps of cow manure organic fertilizer?

Date:2019/10/29

The application of organic fertilizer has made the environment of livestock and poultry breeding industry deodorize, and concentrated the pollution sources to turn waste into treasure, and put an end to the problem of environmental pollution, which not only brings huge economic benefits to the farmers, but also brings high-quality organic fertilizer to the crops.
Cow dung can be divided into dry cow dung and fresh cow dung. Here's how they are fermented.
1. Dry cow dung: the water content of dry cow dung is not enough to ferment, so it is necessary to add enough water, adjust the humidity, add the fermenting agent to mix evenly and then compost and ferment, and cover with a sealed plastic cloth, so as to speed up the fermentation.
2. Fresh cow dung: the water content in the fresh cow dung is too much, which is easy to cause air impermeability. Various auxiliary materials need to be added to absorb the water. General selection of auxiliary materials: sawdust, straw, ash carbon, etc.
Fermentation steps of cow dung
1. Prepare materials and add bacteria: mix the prepared cow dung and fermentation agent evenly according to a certain proportion.
2. Building a pile of cow dung: mix the prepared cow dung and the fermentation agent with water to build a pile evenly for fermentation. The pile height and volume should not be too short or too small. Requirements: the pile height is 1.5-2 meters, the width is 2 meters, and the length is unlimited.
3. Adjust the water content. In the process of manure production, the moisture content of cow manure should be controlled at 40-65%. Less water, slow fermentation and poor ventilation will also lead to "putrefactive bacteria" working and stink. Therefore, we must grasp the water content.
4. Temperature control. The starting temperature should be above 15 ℃, and the fermentation temperature should be controlled below 60-75 ℃.
5. Mix well and ventilate. The fermentation agent needs aerobic fermentation. Therefore, oxygen supply measures should be increased in the operation process. If possible, a compost turning machine can be selected to mix well, turn frequently and ventilate.
6. Fermentation is completed. Generally, 48 hours after the cow dung is piled up, the temperature rises to 50-60 ℃, and the third day can reach above 65 ℃. In this high temperature, it needs to be turned over once. Generally, there will be two times of high temperature above 65 ℃ in the fermentation process. Turning over twice can complete the fermentation, and the fermentation can be completed in a normal week. The material was dark brown, and the temperature began to drop to normal temperature, indicating that the fermentation was completed.
